Linux [virtually] Thursday
Pretty boring day at work today, although I did get to attack a proprietary webserver (had to install 32-Bit Firefox for Java plugin) and test my new automated pen-testing scripts.
I removed KVM from my work laptop today as like Xen, it totally breaks VMWare, and even with the VT-enabled processor, it still seems ridiculously slow.
I installed Fedora8 on the new guy’s laptop and it doesn’t seem much better than F7 so I’m going to wait for F9 before I upgrade any of my own kit.
I installed Ubuntu 7.10 under VMWare – I really don’t know why people like that so much, out of the box its pretty dull and basic.
