Just been into town to get some silicone lubricant for my PC’s northbridge fan which was making a right racket. It seems to be OK now – I had to dust it off too. I picked up a bag of 50 fan screws for a couple of quid too – handy as the six fan’s I’ve ordered probably won’t come with the required 4 screws each.

I started playing with Java again, I don’t really like the language but thought it’s something new. I gave up after getting Tomcat 5.5 and mod_proxy_ajp set up with Apache 2.2 – the servlets/JSP worked, but it’s just too much faffing around, I mean “Hello World!” is like 5 scripts and has a horrible startup time!

Not written much this week.

I watched Crank last night, about a bloke who has to keep his adrenalin up or he will die. Bit of a spin on Speed, not bad though.

I just ordered another 250Gb hard disk, some 120mm fans and a motherboard/RAM that the Parsons wanted as ebuyer are doing free shipping over 99ukp.

I also got a discount on some DVD+R’s and DVD+R DL’s from SVP so I get to try out 8.5Gb dual layer DVD’s on my NEC7173, woohoo, I can finally dump some of those TV series onto disc.

Yesterday I watched Cars, which was OK, and 16 Blocks, which was also mediocre and featured Mos Def and his infinitely annoying voice.

Work was OK today, I’ve finished writing up three test plans and have been doing a lot of Emails and meetings and very little actual testing.

I’m running into the disk space problem again, I’ve got two drives with about 140Gb free space between them – and that’s after I deleted a few things. I tell you, I’m going to end up having to buy a 500Gb drive soon, as I’ve got so many 160, 200, 250Gb’s taking up SATA channels, and I really don’t want to go back to IDE other than the 80Gb boot drives.

Just got back from shopping/pub. It’s actually quite a nice sunny day out, although very windy.

I got my shoes replaced with another lot that were 10ukp cheaper, and I got a pair of shoelaces thrown in for free, so I’m happy with that.

I just finished watching Charmed series 7, and series 8 looks like it’s gonna be pretty crap, no wonder they cancelled the show.

I’ve started watching Heroes, which seems OK, bit of an X-Men ripoff.

I finally got Cars from Lovefilm, plus 16 Blocks (hopefully this one isn’t scratched to death).

Work was slow today, but at least I finished the documentation I’ve been working on, and a little bit of scripting. There’s talk that Guildford might not happen. I got my timesheet signed and sent off an invoice.
