I feel dead rough today, definitely got a cold 🙁

Phil & I are thinking of co-locating a cheap Sun Netra from ebay at Redbus as his ADSL is taking a hammering hosting forums and my VDS costs 350ukp a year and I only have another 5 months on the contract….

I found these hosts which seem pretty good – too good in fact, as most others are 50ukp/month for 100Gb bandwidth and other “hidden” charges, not 38ukp for 500Gb and no charges!

I think I’m coming down with a cold, I’ve got a really peppery nose 🙁

Work was boring today as I was the only one in the office and had little to do, so I left a little early as I worked through lunch and was in before 8am due to there being no traffic (half term).

I put an ebuyer order through with Phil’s help to make it up to the free shipping. I’m getting fed up of ebuyer’s stock crap – I ordered three really cheap SATA cables to find that they only had two in stock, so removed one from the order, then it turned out they only had one, then none. If they are out of stock it should just say and not let you order any, not go through some stupid countdown crap, which probably delayed my order by another working day, which means there’s no hope of getting it this side of next Tuesday. Of course the next cheapest cable was over twice the price, so I didn’t bother.

Just watched Night At The Museum, which was pretty good, about a museum that comes alive at night.

I tried jellied eels yesterday, not as bad as I thought they would be, kind of like Sardines, the jelly was obviously horrible. I also tried squid in ink, which was very nasty, not like calamari at all.

I’ve almost finished Doom3, just got to kill the Cyberdemon.

Pippa got me a mood-cube clock, it lights up different colours and flashes through all twelve every hour, it’s weird it makes you smile every time it does that!

I’m 29 today, last year of being twenty-something!

Work was busy today, although we did go out for lunch at the pub where I got shouted a burger and a pint. I’m going out for a curry in a minute with a couple of blokes from work, who are driving so I can have a drink.

I opened my cards early as usual.

Not doing much today, played some Doom 3, oh and my mouth has mostly recovered from the disenfectant escapade!

I just watched Inside Man, which was a great movie with good twists and lots of stars.

Gonna try to get MacOSX 10.4.6 or 10.4.8 working under VMWare later as 10.4.1 seems to have old libraries or something as no software will install for it (like Camino, Crossover or Firefox) and the update system broke iTunes and QuickTime.
